Jim Humble
(Knightrider)
1967-1974, US Air Force,
Strategic Air Command, ICBM’s.
Cofounder
of Post #4 Pocatello, Idaho American Legion Riders, my self and JR
Tate put the riders together, I noticed the riders patch in The
Emblems Sale Catalog and said I want to get one of them, JR had the
time to work at home on it, I chipped in where I could.
It just so happened that on my
Birthday 2003, “May 14, 2003 Department of Idaho, Department
Adjutant, attest to and states that the American Legion Riders (of)
Idaho considers, and recognizes The American Legion Riders, Post 4
Pocatello, Idaho to be a "bona fide" function and asset therein.”
1st year I become the
Assistant Director and with my bike and ALR vest supported the
different groups on their rides, people started asking for
information on the American Legion Riders!.
2005 I become the Director, we have
slowly grown, from two to eighteen plus and still growing!
The national ALR started the Patriot
Guard Riders as a grass roots organization to protect our fallen
soldiers from war protesters and to run “Honorary Escorts” for
Funerals, the national got a hold of post # 4 Pocatello Commander
and asked that ALR become Captains, I told the National that I would
get the P.G. R. started here in Idaho, Some months later a Mountain
Home
active duty military officer took the on the task as State Captain.
2006 I gave up being Director, to give
someone else a chance.
